Elder Jones is originally from Farmville, NC. and came to Pennsylvania in 1998. Shortly after coming to Pennsylvania, Minister Jones became a member of the Pilgrim Church of God in Christ Family and committed his life to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Elder Jones is a resident of Johnstown and is employed as Sales Representative for Auto Zone, Johnstown.
A year after joining Pilgrim, Elder Jones was called into the ministry to preach the Word of God. He preached his trial sermon titled, "It is good for me to draw near to God" Psalm 73:28, May 18, 2000. The title of his first sermon has become his statement of faith. Elder Jones is a member of Pilgrim's Ministerial Staff and serves as second in command for ministry at Pilgrim. He was ordained on August 20, 2004 as a fully credentialed minister and elder of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Western Pennsylvania. Elder Jones is Pilgrim's Assistant Sunday School Superintendent and Assistant Teacher of the adult Sunday School class.
Elder Jones is married to Evangelist Theresa A. Jones and he is the stepfather of four children. His parents, John and Lynda Jones still reside in the state of North Carolina.
