Minister Myers is a life long resident of Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he has been employed by the Greater Johnstown School District for 24 years. In his own words, it is a small city he likes because of the relatively quiet atmosphere. At the age of 16, he accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Jefferson Memorial First Born Church where the Bishop Joseph McGauley is pastor. It wasn't until seven years ago that he accepted his call for the ministry while serving under pastorate of Reverend Charles Scales who was the pastor at Shilo Baptist Church at the time.

For over two years now Minister Myers has been in fellowship and Christian service at Pilgrim. His joining the Pilgrim Fellowship is actually returning to his roots. His grandparents, Deacon and Sister Henry Myers were among the founders of Pilgrim Church of God in Christ. Minister Myers brought with him a most notable attitude of cooperation. He has joined the Pilgrim Ministerial Staff with ease and friendliness. The saints at Pilgrim find him warm and likable. His fellow ministers find him comfortable and approachable. He has been a blessing and a welcome addition to the Pilgrim Family.

Minister Myers' wife Linda is a native of Tennessee. They met in Johnstown when Linda was transferred by her employer. Together they are raising their only son, David Jr., a talented drummer.
